Crop is Looking Good

The side-dressing and the first round of post spraying is complete.  This past weekend we received some much needed precipitation (0.6-0.9″) and are now experiencing milder temperatures as well.  The crop is really growing and looking good.  The majority of the beans have flowered as of yesterday, which is a great thing.  Over the past few years we have seen our highest yielding early planted beans flower on or before the summer solstice.  It does look like most, if not all, of the beans will need a second post herbicide application.  All our beans are XtendFlex traited, meaning we will have several herbicide options.  Markets have continued to show large levels of volatility, but are still exceedingly strong.  Local fall cash corn is at $5.29 and soybeans are $13.00.
